All of our attorneys specialize in assisting employers with all aspects of the employment relationship, including hiring, discipline, termination and employee conflict issues; compliance with legal requirements; developing effective policies, procedures and employment agreements for the workplace; providing training and preventative strategies guidance; and implementing good employment practices. In addition to working with corporate clients and organization, EMC2 also represents individuals who need assistance in drafting, analyzing and negotiating employment and severance agreements, a service which most large law firms do not provide. All of EMC2’s partners also specialize in conducting workplace investigations as an independent investigator.
EMC2 attorneys have extensive “big firm” experience gained through years of employment practice with California’s largest and most prestigious law firms. This experience gives EMC2 a sophistication and knowledge base in employment law not typically found at smaller firms. All of our attorneys have appeared in state and federal court, as well as before various governmental agencies, including the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the California Department of Labor Standards Enforcement and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. One of our partners is a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Panel of the Central District of California, and our founding partner served as a federal appellate law clerk. One of our partners has real-world HR experience from serving as the Labor Relations Associate for the Ford Motor Company. In addition, two of our partners are charter members of the Association of Workplace Investigators, and all five partners are active members of this cutting-edge organization.
